Issues when opening Mail from notification on my iPhone 16 running iOS 18.3.2

When I get a notification of a new mail and I click this notification to open that mail, the mail app does open but shows my inbox with all the mails and then freezes instead of opening that mail.

I use the standard iOS mail app on a iPhone 16 with iOS 18.3.2. I can’t tell you from what update the problem started but it was with or after iOS 18.

I tried rebooting and hard rebooting my iPhone but it doesn’t help. My storage is not full.

I can’t find anything on this as a known bug. Did anyone encounter this bug yet and is there a solution?
