Good Day team,
I understand that the default pathway for the screenshots to get saved is Desktop. However, it is cluttering my desktop and would like to change its path to a more private and concealed place, rather than just the desktop. Yet, it must get backed up.

Use the keyboard shortcut command + shift + 5 to display the Screen Capture tool. Then click on Options in the bottom toolbar to define another destination.

I'll suggest that you might consider using the Stacks feature of the macOS for desktop file management.
It can help keep all those desktop icon under control. Stacks are easy to enable/disable and really easy to navigate.
