Why are WhatsApp notifications silent on my iPhone 14?

Hello,

For a few months now, the sound of messages in WhatsApp chat has not been heard. I m not referring to notifications, strictly to the sound of the message received in the chat. The sending sound is heard, only the receiving one is not. I kept hoping that it would be resolved after an update, but I ve done 5,6 updates so far and nothing. It doesn t vibrate even in vibration mode, it s as if the sound doesn t exist anymore. I don t know if it s from the application or the phone, but the tickets from WhatsApp are turned off and I can t make a ticket. Is anyone else facing this problem?

Then please check the following.

Check your DND status - Settings > Focus [Do Not Disturb]; Use Focus on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Check BedTime Status - Clock App; Use Bedtime to track your sleep on your iPhone - Apple Support
Check your iPhone Sound Volume; Adjust the volume on your iPhone - Apple Support
Check Call Audio Routing; Call Audio Routing Bluetooth / Speaker / Automatic
Check Auto Answer Calls; Turn off Auto Answer Calls
Check the list of Blocked Numbers --> Block phone numbers, contacts, and emails on your iPhone ...

Thanks for the answer, but as I mentioned above, it's not about notifications, it's strictly about the sound made by the message when you're in the chat.
