early MBP - Thunderbolt 2

2024 MBA - Thunderbolt 3 / USB 4

The Thunderbolt port is marked with the lightning icon.

Use an Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter + a quality, genuine Thunderbolt 2 cable (getting hard to find).
