Xprotec Pirrit PluginCanceled status_code 30 messages

Since a week or two I found in my logfiles where XProtect is writing the progress status every now and then the following message. xprotec Pirrit PluginCanceled status_code 30. Xprotec seem to stop further processing until a few hours later. This message always includes Pirrit and always code 30. After this failure to execute XProtect runs again and then normal (all successful) including Pirrit.

This started to happen after XProtect update file 5292 and continued with 5293. According to Intego Virusbarrier and Malwarebyte my Macbook is clean.

Full message:

Pirrit ⚠️ PluginCanceled time 0.0002760 {"execution_duration":0.0002759695053100586,"status_code":30,"status_message":"PluginCanceled","caused_by":[]}

Any idea what is causing this and how to get rid of it?

14" MacBook Pro M1 Pro, 16GB Ram MacOs 15.4.

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks for your quick response.

I have, since years, Intego Virusbarrier and Malwarebytes running. A few months ago I installed Surfshark VPN to replace Private Internet Access. Not so long ago I tried ONYX and run it two or three times. According the time stamp of their app which is 27 march 2025 this a good candidate for causing this problem.

Thanks for your help and I will update my request for help with the outcome of the removal.

Regards,

Rob

Intego Virusbarrier or any other Third Party Security Software is useless

Intego AntiVirus

Windows-like viruses that self-replicate and affect macOS don’t exist because of the underlying UNIX Foundation and permission limitations.

The macOS operating system resides in a sealed and read-only volume that can’t be opened by users or third-party applications.

This antivirus software only protects the developers’ bank accounts and creates problems for users in return.

Mac app security enhancements are sufficient to protect computers from malware.

Adware and Malware can affect computers and are often downloaded from “shady” websites or developers who inject them into downloads.
