At some point in the past 2-3 weeks the maps have disappeared from the information setting on all of my new and old photos. I have checked all the location service settings and they are still as before. Is this linked to the iOS18.4 update? How can I restore the maps feature, any suggestions?

i’ve got the same issue on iPhone and iPad but it seems to work fine on my so far.
All location services are granted for maps, photos and camera (and some more).
Edit:
also happening for the recognized people/pets and the button „show in all pics“

That's certainly odd, and I haven't heard of anyone else having this problem. Have you tried a forced re-start?

This is different from a simple Power Off. I had to continue holding the button down past the "slide to power off" message, and then I released the button only after the Apple Logo appeared indicating a re-start.

What is your iPhone storage like? Mine says 192 GB of 512 used. What does yours say at
Settings>General>Storage?
What is your iCloud Storage? Mine says 150 GB of 200 GB
Settings>AppleID>iCloud
Are you low on free space?
