What do you mean by 'stolen'?

Your phone doesn't 'own' an IP address, so there's nothing to 'steal'.

Your phone may be leased an IP address while on a WiFi network, but as soon as you leave that WiFi range, the IP address is released and may be handed out to someone else.

The same thing when you're not on WiFi, but using the cellular service from your carrier - the IP address you use *right now* may be different from the one you used yesterday, or the one you'll use tomorrow, based on how you move around, especially if roaming.

So it isn't clear what you're asking.

If you're concerned about security, thinking that someone who 'knows' your IP address how has magical control over your device, that's not the case. Literally anyone who manages a web site you visit 'knows' your IP address (at least, the one you used when you accessed their site). Same as anyone who receives an email from you (services such as Apple's Private Relay notwithstanding).

I well understand your own privacy is not a concern to you, nor is the added and unnecessary connection overhead for negligible added security, so any concerns over something as immaterial and transient and shared as an IPv4 address seems unfounded. IPv4 addresses are routinely pooled together and re-assigned as needed, absent the cost of a so-called static or fixed IPv4 address. Which most folks don’t pay for, and don’t have.

If your current networking configuration is somehow not correctly reflective of your existing concerns over your privacy and security, then iCloud+ Private Relay and ODoH, and the existing end-to-end TLS connections will be of interest.

I looked at the data that my vpn has it has 85gb which is a lot. I have been hearing background noise when I make a call with that vpn, I deleted it and no there’s no background noise when i called a different person

That would indicate that the VPN is the problem. People have advised to to delete it. Perhaps this will encourage you to do so.

I did go to my Verizon the agent there . He told me it could be my vpn app hacked since I had that on all the time . I know that you can’t hack a iPhone but vpn can have someone spying on me?

Verizon agents are not, as a rule, a good source of information about this sort of thing. Their job is to sell you Verizon services.

No reason to have a VPN unless your company or school requires it.

A VPN makes your phone and other devices less secure.....not more secure.....despite what the fancy advertising claims. In addition, most VPN companies are selling your personal information to other companies.

What is the make and model number of your Wi-Fi router?

Are you asking about the Public IP Address issued to your Wi-Fi router.....or.....the Private IP Addresses that your Wi-Fi router is issuing to connected devices on your network?

IP Address being Stolen:

As for your own network, if you were assigned an IP Address (meaning it is "static", rather than "dynamic"), and someone found out what your IP Address is, then they could assign it to themselves, that would mean it has been "stollen", in a manner of speaking. But, that's just to say.

Does not matter what VPN you have. It is not needed unless your company or school requires it.

Your network will be less.....not more.....secure with a VPN.

If you are OK with that, and you don't mind the VPN company selling your personal info to other companies....then stay with the VPN.

We got that you have a Frontier router. What is the model number? (We do NOT need the serial number).
