I’ve been receiving very strange messages from Apple. They’re just a random sequence of characters. I haven’t noticed any pattern yet. The messages look like this: 3Λ¥¥+ΓØΓΛC¥;ƤLØ¥
Any “coffee shop” VPNs involved? If so, remove those.
Tried logging out of Messages, and back in? If not, try that.
Current iOS, iPadOS, or macOS version? If not current, update.
On no other evidence and with an abundance of caution, I’d likely also enable Lockdown Mode.
That’s not Apple, just block whoever it is.
Apple would only text you if you started a Customer Support chat with them in iMessage. And it says “SMS” and the top of the page. They certainly wouldn’t text you random gibberish. Here a legit Apple conversation in iMessage:

How do you know they’re from Apple?
The sender is shown simply as “Apple” 😅 no phone number, no email address, nothing else.
I’ve never used anything like that. Everything is up to date.
The messages come in iMessage.
Yeah, that’s what I figured too. I’ve already blocked it. I’m just curious what it could be. There’s no info about the sender at all. Thank you
