I want to be able to create a shortcut icon on my MacBook Pro desktop that will run a python program without me having to go to terminal and type a command for it to run

Normally I run a python program that I have by right clicking on the folder and selecting open terminal at folder location and then I type the following: without the quotes “python3 geigerlog.py” after typing this command the program GUI opens up and runs.

I am not an expert at terminal. I looked at Automator. I don’t understand anything about Apple scripts. I just simply want to make an icon on the desktop that by clicking on it runs the program without me having to go to terminal and type something in all the time. Can someone help me do this?

Thanks in advance!
