How long does it take to repair an iPhone under warranty with a minor screen defect?

How long does it usually take for your iphone to repair if it’s under warranty? My screen has a minor screen defect and i ask my local istore what it needs to be done. They only told me that i must update my phone to latest version but if the defect still persist they will repair it and it will take about 2-3 months because they need to ship the materials from singapore and I couldn’t keep my phone with me during that time because it is under warranty. Please help me.

Wait until the parts arrive at the Apple Store, then send in your iPhone for service. Otherwise your iPhone will just be sitting there. Also since you are under warranty, ask if they can loan you a replacement iPhone in the meantime to use. On service day, it should usually take a few hours and you can wait there while it's being done.

If you take it to an Apple store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider they can check it out, and replace the screen if necessary. They can usually do it while you wait.
