Is there any way to make Photos sync not so lazy and terrible?

I have had this problem for years and I've seen slight improvement, but it's still terrible.

When I take photos on my iPhone, there are many times I want to be able to use them on my Mac Mini soon after. Years ago, when we built our house, I'd take a lot of photos while I was out on the lot and my iPhone wouldn't sync because there was no wifi. That's no a problem now.

But there are still issues and they make this feature so useless I have often thought about switching to an Android phone because of this one serious issue. I have a TP-Link Deco M9 wifi mesh. When I sit at my desk, my iPhone is within 5' of it. Often, if I'm having sync issues, I move it so it's within 1' of the node in my study. Even then, when other devices have no trouble with connections or speed, my iPhone will still refuse to sync and give me a message like, "Weak signal." Hey, it's right next to a good wifi AP. Other devices near it work fine.

Often I get messages about preserving battery power, even when my battery is at 80%. Or I get messages about saving data, so it won't sync over cellular connections.

Often if I want to be sure my photos sync so they're available on iCloud or on my Mac Mini, after taking photos, I have to go into the Photos app and tell it to sync because the lazy iPhone is complaining about battery power or using cellular data. (Again, it'll complain about battery power and say it's saving power even as high as 80% full.)

This evening it took almost 30 minutes to sync ONE photo! I looked at it and saw "Syncing 1 item," but no status bar to show how much it had uploaded. I gave it 10 minutes and looked again. Not even the status bar, just "Syncing 1 item." When I first checked, I went on and moved it to near my wifi AP. After 10 minutes near there, it was still saying the same thing. I changed to cell service. Even with 3 bars, it complains about a weak signal, so it won't sync. (Odd - I can stream video just fine with the phone in the same place, but it won't sync the photos and it complains about a signal that, apparently, is too weak for photos, but is working fine for Apple TV+.)

I finally tried stopping the sync and resuming it, even rebooting the phone. Each time I gave it 2 minutes or so, but still not even a status bar to show it's actually syncing or how much it had synced from that one photo.

Finally, after about 28 minutes (give or take 30 seconds), it showed a status bar and, once I got that, it synced within seconds, using the same wifi it complained about earlier.

How can I "tell" my iPhone, "Sync photos. Always. Don't whine about battery power or a weak signal. If there are unsynced photos, SYCN them ASAP."

I have had many, MANY times when I've taken photos and my time was wasted because I forgot that I have to always check to be sure it's syncing, or because, once I start syncing, it takes forever to sync, even when it's near my wifi AP (which, as indicated this evening, worked fine for syncing the photo in under 20 seconds once it FINALLY started to sync the photo).

I don't know if there's a fix for it, but I want to document this. It's pathetic behavior and makes my iPhone unreliable for use in business and other activities where I need reliable syncing so I can edit photos or email them to people or otherwise use them without having to sit and wait over an hour for pics and videos to sync.

Sometimes pictures arrive at my Mac within 3 seconds, usually longer. When I need a picture immediately (like when I do screenshots for use here,) I use AirDrop.

Since syncing uses the battery, and since lots of people are very anxious about battery drain, the iPhone will avoid syncing when not plugged in. And since syncing uses processing power, and people hate slow downs, the iPhone will avoid syncing while you use it. And since syncing requires bandwidth, the iPhone will avoid syncing when the internet connection is weak.

So, if you want faster syncing, then find good wifi, plug the phone in, and leave it alone. All this applies to a lesser extent for the Mac.

I never use low power mode.

I do tap my profile picture, but I have to do that almost every time, unless I'm willing to wait all night for it to sync sometime overnight - and when it does that (which it often does), it's using the same wifi AP it complains about when it's 1' away from it - except it's across the room.

Seeing my sync status isn't a problem. It's getting it to sync automatically, like it supposedly should, instead of complaining about battery power (when it's at 80% or more!).
