I've been using Photoshop on my brand new computer. I sometimes take pictures with my DSLR and open them up in Camera Raw first to tweak and then go into Photoshop- no issues. Today I get these messages that Camera Raw is not supported by my system. I just used this process last week- nothing has changed on my end. What's going on??

If you ever are getting again an error message that GPU acceleration is required, you may want to check, if your Mac has accidentally started up in Safe Boot Mode.

A Mac with a Bluetooth keyboard may occasionally start up in Safe Mode, when we turn the keyboard on, while the Mac is starting up. Safe Mode disables some advanced features of the GPU. Then restarting the Mac in normal mode will help.

Thank you for sharing the final solution with the community (reinstall the program) - this helps other people experiencing the same problem!
I was able to chat message someone at Adobe & share my screen. They have a weird way to do it- made me a little nervous but in the end it looks like the program was corrupted & they reinstalled it! Fingers crossed that’s it!!

Possibly there’s been an update to Adobe Photoshop, which messed things up a bit. If this is not intended, Ps will probably receive a fix, it should not be an issue with your iMac itself. If it won’t resolve, you could try to reach out to Adobe. Otherwise, if it’s an option (if it won’t get fixed), you just could use Affinity Photo as an alternative. IMHO it’s still quite a professional program, and I’ve not had issues to edit RAW-Photos even on my iPad.
Since Camera RAW is not an Apple product, you should contact Adobe. As xWauwau suggests, you're more likely to get help there, and they may want to know about your experience.
