How do I view videos in Portrait mode on iPhone 16 Pro?

I want to view a video so I click on it but the if going horizontally across my screen. So I want to view the video so I rotate my phone vertically, but the video won’t rotate, why?

Hello!


Swipe down from the top right of your screen, to open the Control Center. Then make sure your Orientation Lock is off, meaning it should be black, and not white and red. It should look as the one below:



If that doesn’t help, then the video was filmed incorrectly. So the phone was in portrait mode, but a landscape video was shot, and vice versa. This isn’t easy to do, but it can happen accidentally, and it’ll mess up how the video looks. The video will always be 90° in the wrong direction somehow.
