Ability to rename desktops under Mission Control

I know this has been a recurring topic of discussion since OSX Lion, when Mission Control was first added. But it's something that feels illogical to not have it as a feature. When windows first shipped with the feature to have multiple desktops, you could rename them from the beginning. We Mac users have had this feature for a much longer time than windows users, since 2007 to be exact, and yet this small feature has never come to the macOS devs' attention, or has been ignored.

People have used temporary fixes, like using Stickies and making big font notes, or using different wallpapers, but for the majority of people who use several spaces, it's very inconvenient to see Desktop 1, Desktop 2, and so on.

I really wanna request the devs, please just let us rename our desktops. You can't seriously call macOS the "best operating system in the world" if such an obvious feature has been missing for almost two decades now, considering how many related threads exist on the community.

Also, if anyone has any alternatives, feel free to share.
