How to restore Google Chrome Bookmarks from Time machine?

I accidentally deleted my Google Chrome bookmarks (lots of important research). This included deleting the bookmarks folder in the application support library. I did this as I needed to reinstall Chrome as it was not launching properly. I thought when I logged back into the newly restored Google Chrome my bookmarks would be there. Is there a way to reinstall them from a Time Machine backup. It's really important. Many thanks for any help or advice.

Hello Adrian,

First quit Google Chrome.

Open Finder, click Go > Go to folder in the menubar and copy/paste the following path (all of it) :

~/Library/Application Support/Google/Chrome/Default/

Open Time Machine and you should see the Finder window at the above path. The bookmark file is named "Bookmarks", without extension. "Go back in time" to find the date on which the bookmark file was correct and restore it.
