Why can't my husband see Airport base stations on the Airport Utility app? I recently reset my airport base station and a couple of expresses. New password for the network. I can see them on my Airport utility, but my husband can access the network but can’t see any base stations,etc on the airport utility app- just the internet globe image. Extending Airport Extreme base station with another Airport Extreme My home network went down and I had to reset my Airport Extreme base station. I was using another Airport Extreme to extend. I have not been able to get it to set up to extend base station except with an ethernet cable. I've tried over and over and get error on updating.

Lost created network when changing Airport Extreme base station from "Create" to "Extend" When I changed the Airport Extreme (2017) base station WiFi network name & password (from previous homeowner set up) I lost connectivity to the 2 other Airport Extreme units that were acting as wireless extenders of the old network. (The base station worked fine with the new network name/password). I figured I needed to have the remote Airport Extreme get the same network name & Password so I changed in the Airport Utility the option from "create network" to "Extend Network". Now even the Base Station with the new network name and password is not generating the new network and the downstream wireless Airport Extreme units are not visible in the Airport Utility. The Base Station is connected to a new Spectrum router and the Spectrum wifi network is still working (though weak in the areas the remote Airport Extreme units are located). I can see the base station in the airport utility but it has a yellow triangle with exclamation mark and when I try to access it to revert to "create network" setting I get the message "Device not Found" and I am unable to make any changes. Is there a way to regain access and make the changes to reinstate the Network that I renamed and then get that wifi network to the remote units?

A Factory Default Reset can be a bit tricky....because you almost need 3 hands in some cases depending on which AirPort base station you have

Power off the AirPort

Unplug any cables that might be connected

Hold in the reset button on the back of the AirPort.......and keep holding the reset button in for another 10 seconds while you plug the power cord back into the AirPort.

Release the reset button and allow a full minute for the AiPort to restart to a slow blinking amber light status

That's it.
