Toolbar not showing at the top of my TV

Hello:

I found a post similar to this back in 2009. There really wasn't a clear fix and since things have changed quite a bit since then, I thought I'd repost and see if someone has the fix to this.

I have a 2021 M1 MacBook Pro running Sequoia that is hooked up to a slightly older 42" TV using the HDMI port. Everything is working great except for the toolbar missing at the top. Which is kind of unacceptable because you need the toolbar to work, right? I understand it is a tv and not monitor - but it seems to me that it really should work. Why? Because the toolbar shows up perfectly using a brand new TV we just bought...but that will be used with a different Mac.

I haven't seriously gotten into changing resolutions etc., but based on the post I found that didn't really seem to help things much. Anyways, just wanted to see if anyone else has run into this problem and knew the way around it. If not, well then I will have to start messing around with the resolutions and such. Thanks so much!!

Toolbar Not Showing at Top of TV:

What's this post you speak of? I'm not certain as to which toolbar your are speaking of. There is no toolbar that is required to get things to be mirrored.
