How do I permanently delete a contact on my iPhone?

Do you understand this is a public forum, visited by millions of people from all around the world? It's NEVER a good idea to post personal information, like your phone number on a public forum. You may now get more scam messages than you can handle. I have asked the forum hosts to remove your phone number for your safety.
To remove a contact. Open the Contact in the Contacts App, tap Edit, then scan down to the bottom of the page and tap Delete Contact.
