Why was keychain or password removed from settings?

Because when iOS 18 was released, and as was noted in the Release Notes everyone had access to when they updated and had been widely reported on most tech sites, Passwords became its own dedicated App and you will find the App was deposited on the last page of your home screen apps. You can then move the app to a prominent place on your phone for much easier access than having to open Settings > Passwords > Look for the Password and then tap it. Now all you have to do is tap the app and look for the password you want.
