Traveling out of the country, I used an esim. iMessage stopped working and was showing me only my email address in my Apple account. I try to add the phone number but it wants me to verify it via text, which I can't get because iMessage doesn't work! I can't figure out what happened and how to fix it.

Please contact your cellular service provider support team to restore full use of their services. Apple will send a TXT over the cellular service to confirm the phone number is valid. If you’re not receiving the TXT, your service is not functioning properly.
