Do AirPods Pro (2nd gen) ear tips fit the 1st gen?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for the small-sized silicone ear tips for the AirPods Pro (1st generation) – ideally the 2-set pack that used to be available for $9.99. Unfortunately, they’ve been sold out everywhere – online and at all Apple Store pickup locations I’ve checked.

So my question is:

Are the 2nd generation AirPods Pro ear tips compatible with the 1st generation? If so, might that be a workaround while the original ones are unavailable?

The mechanism is the same for 1st and 2nd generation AirPods Pro So you can attach 2nd gen eartips to the 1st generation without issue.

But you should consider the fact that Apple has redesigned the structure for the 2nd generation tips

the 2nd gen tips should work just fine.

Just to add to __PrincetonR__'s post, Amazon sells ear tips, saying they will fit both generations of the AirPod Pros. But the Apple Store sells tips for the second generation that it says will not work with the first generation. So bottom line, proceed with caution.
