What is the default Private Wi-Fi Address behavior?

We noticed that on iOS/ iPAD OS and MAC OS the default state set for Private Wi-Fi Address was defaulted to Fixed on the latest update (18.4.1) when connecting to a WPA2/WPA3 WLAN.

On version 18.4.0 and below this was defaulting to "Rotating".

Working on corporate/enterprise IPSK(CISCO)/DPSK(RUCKUS)/MPSK(ARUBA) networks is becoming challenging due to this single feature knob.

What is the expected default setting when connecting to a new WLAN?

Is this documented anywhere?
