How to prevent external hard drive from disconnecting due to disk sleep timer on Mac mini?

Running Sequoia 15.4.1 - External hard drive drops connection every ten minutes. Why has the option not to put hard disks to sleep disappeared, and can this issue be overcome? Does anyone have any experience with a powered m.2 caddy actually working?

Many thanks,

Thank you both for replying. I've managed to find a solution:

From Terminal:

sudo pmset -a disksleep 0

This has worked just fine :)
