Why isn’t iMessage syncing between my iPhone and MacBook Pro?

Just updated to Sequoia 15.4.1. on my MacBook and now it's not getting messages from my iPhone. My iPhone is up to date. I've signed in and out of my Apple ID; pressed Sync Now on my phone; made sure I'm on the same wifi network for my phone and MacBook; restarted/rebooted my phone and MacBook; unchecked and checked iMessage in iCloud settings and followed all the recommendations from apple support. Am I missing anything.

Check iMessage Activation on Mac. Open Messages on Mac → Preferences (or Settings) → iMessage tab.

Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID as your iPhone. Enable Messages in iCloud is checked.

Under “You can be reached for messages at”, your phone number and email are selected. Make sure your phone number or preferred email is selected.
