Error - 2048 when playing ProRes 422 HQ file

A while back I received a Prores422 HQ file on dvd and it played back fine in Quicktime. Last week I received another Prores422 HQ on dvd from the same place and when I try to play it I get Error - 2048 Couldn't open file Pro16mm Ftg 08-02.mov because it is not a file that Quicktime understands. So I went back and to the original file and it played back fine. I have tried both dvds in other peoples PCs with same results. I'm stumped.
