How can I stop my Apple Watch SE from tapping randomly?

When using and not using my Apple Watch it keeps tapping me on the wrist like an activity notification sometimes it might tap twice or once or three times. It has gradually got worse over a couple of weeks, it does this even when not on my wrist or charging I have closed all apps looked through all settings and have not seem to find why it’s working.

To rule out a software issue, erase your watch and set it up again as a new device, without using the latest backup:

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support


If this does not solve the problem, this is hardware related and the watch needs to be diagnosed and serviced:
