Why does my iphone 11 heats around the edges near power button after updating to ios 18.4.1

Start by doing a forced restart. If that doesn’t work, look at your battery usage by app. Heat isn’t produced unless software is excessively running in the background. Try updating the app, if that doesn’t help or it’s already updated, delete and reinstall. After installing do another forced restart.

iPhone > Settings > Battery > scroll down > Last 10 Days > Battery Usage by App > post screen or look at your highest 3 apps. Which apps are they?

My iPhone gets warm running FB and Messenger (I don’t play games on my iPhone). Meta needs to update their apps to be optimized for iOS. Messenger has been updated 11 times in the last month. If you feel your device gets too warm you can delete the apps, restart your device and reinstall the apps. This will sometimes resolve bugs in the apps.
