People can't hear on phone calls through iPhone 16 Pro

All of a sudden, people cannot hear me on phone calls. My microphone works perfectly (using voice text to write this). I have performed a reset, make sure I am not on mute, checked in settings under sounds to ensure I’m not muted there.

I am writing the latest iOS software.

I I’m guessing I am not the only one with this issue.

I should note that I have a stalker who has made her way into five iPhones - each with a different Apple ID and password. I often wipe a phone and pick up a backup…which delivers *her* copy of my phone (I found she has disengaged “find my” on her clone, yet my phone’s location was working as it should plus numerous *surprise* actions she’d taken in an attempt to damage my life/hurt me such as blocking or reporting anyone who messaged me on dating app)…

Having said all of that…it could very well be that somehow muting me is yet another attempt to *kill me off with stress* (she deleted EVERY NAME (just names…left phone numbers) in my contact list of many hundreds of ppl, changes all of my passwords just about daily, and has locked me out of all gmail accts by engaging family link…

So disengaging my ability to make phone calls is par-for-the-course.

I’ll note that “just change your pw” doesn’t work if stalker is using iTunes to sync (or other auto-sync programs)—hence my many iPhones.

I have physical security keys on 16 pro but not sure if/what that blocks her from…I’m currently spending any free time attempting to undo the damage she caused by deleting my divorce zoom code emails…I literally watched them disappear from my iCloud mail acct before my eyes—and now ex- refused to give to me verbally (I was ultimately punished for not *attending* and lost everything—even standard *easy legal requirements*— in my divorce because I did not attend via zoom). (If you didn’t guess… stalker is the mistress and of course doesn’t want ex to deliver spousal support to his wife of 30 years—that’s me…a low-paid teacher who literally now cannot afford food or a place to live (I should have been able to stay in the family home until my daughter graduates in three years…but again was punished and given 45 days to move out (and into my car I suppose since I can afford nothing else).

I suppose I am, including all of the above just in case there’s anyone out there who is willing to help I have thousands of pages of evidence— his/her IP address and my Gmail log-in detail, my Apple ID/phones impossibly connecting to her/his named routers, their named AirPods connected to ONLY my backup data/clones, strange middle of the night “butt calks” from her phone to my post-cut-ties phones (NO way new phone numbers shout be in her contacts! And the list goes on.

it would absolutely not surprise me if she somehow added yet another roadblock to my life (like making and/or receiving a phone call.

I truly thank you for your assistance

Kelly

There are several potential reasons for distorted voice calls on an iPhone. Here are some common factors that can contribute to this issue:

  1. A weak or unstable cellular network signal can result in voice call distortion. If the signal strength is low, the audio quality may suffer, leading to distortion, dropouts, or static during calls.
  2. High network traffic or congestion can affect voice call quality. When there are too many users trying to access the network simultaneously, it can result in degraded call quality or distortion.
  3. It's recommended to keep your iPhone's software up to date and regularly check for app updates.
  4. If you are using a Bluetooth headset or speakerphone during calls, interference or compatibility issues can lead to distorted audio. Try disconnecting any connected Bluetooth devices and check if the voice quality improves.
  5. Voice call distortion can also be attributed to problems on the network provider's end. Temporary network outages, infrastructure issues, or maintenance work can affect call quality in specific areas or during certain times.

If you're experiencing persistent voice call distortion on your iPhone, it's recommended to troubleshoot the problem by following these steps:

  1. Check your network signal strength and switch to a different location if possible to see if the issue persists.
  2. Restart your iPhone to refresh the software and temporary settings.
  3. Disable any Bluetooth devices connected to your iPhone during calls and check if the distortion improves.
  4. Verify that your iPhone's software is up to date and install any available updates.
  5. Contact your network provider to inquire about any known issues in your area.
  6. If the problem persists, consider contacting or visiting an Apple authorized service center to diagnose and address any hardware-related problems.
