My iPhone is constantly deleting many contacts

My iPhone is constantly deleting my own saved contacts. They can be the most recent I have saved, updated, or added, to the ones I have had for years. It’s non- selective.

In conjunction with this, my iPhone selectively deletes my pinned contacts in my messages, and many can disappear all at once, to one at a time at any given period.

I am frustrated to no end, because the only answer the Apple support suggests for me to do is delete all of my contacts and re enter them all again. So how does this solve the core problem of the iPhone constantly deleting my contacts at its own will???

Any suggestions, anyone??? I would be so grateful. I am losing extremely important information and iPhones are supposed to be a lifeline, but to what?

You are not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user support forum and Apple does not participate here. We are all users like you. If you wish someone to try helping you troubleshoot this issue, we will.

Contacts are not generally saved directly on the iPhone, they are synced from a mail or cloud account. What you first need to determine is where you are syncing your contacts from. Are you using iCloud, or another mail account. You can start determining this by going to Contacts and tapping on the upper left corner of the screen. It should say something like Lists, or All. When you tap on it, it will show what account your contacts are in. If there are more than one, it can help explain why you may only be seeing some of your contacts. Let's start there and work on things after you answer that question.

If you would rather just rant in ALL CAPS, and underline things, and ask questions you cannot get answered here, then that is up to you.
