If your iPhone is on 10 days old and you purchased it from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller you are within the return and/or exchange period. You don’t need to deal with these issues with a new device.
If you choose not to return the device we can diagnose the issue and see what can be done to possibly reduce the heat. Some heat is normal especially when recording high resolution HDR footage. Some third party apps are not as efficient and may be part of the issue.
Your iPhone contains multiple internal safety features monitoring the heat and they shut down the screen and the device if internal temperatures get too hot. This protects both the user and internal components.
If you decide to keep your iPhone I'm happy to troubleshoot the device with you.
