The current Magic Mouse requires macOS 15.1 or later. There is a scrolling issue with earlier macOS versions. See the following from Magic Mouse (USB‑C) - White Multi-Touch Surface - Apple

System Requirements

Mac with macOS 15.1 or later

iPad with iPadOS 18.1 or later

Only 2019 or later iMacs can be upgraded to the current version of Sequoia macOS 15. See: How to upgrade to macOS Sequoia - Apple Support
