How can I search contacts on my iPhone 12 after upgrading to iOS 18.4.1?

It works just fine on my iPhone with iOS 18.4.1. After you did the update, did you Force Restart your iPhone? This procedure is something I do after EVERY iOS update. Give it a try --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Is the search bar not at the top of your contacts or are you saying it doesn't work?
