"Audio Interfaces" come on many types. With a better understanding of precisely what you are attempting to connect your iPad via USB-C, contributors may be better able to provide definitive guidance. For information, the USB-C cable supplied with your iPad is a USB-C data cable.
Perhaps you are simply looking for a simple USB-C to 3.5mm Audio connection that incorporates a DAC? There are many from which to choose, including Apple's own:

You would be best advised to contact the manufacturer - as they are best placed to offer support with their product. To be clear, the manufacturer's own documentation does not explicitly state support for iPad.
Hi LotusPilot thanks for the reply you state the usb c cable that comes with the I pad is a usb c data cable I am new to apple it states it is a power charging cable my android phone has two types of usb cable cheap power cables and more expensive data cables really would help if apple cables stated power and data cable in their advertising data.
I am looking at buying a Arturia mini fuse 4 audio interface this has a usb c female and two usb A ports on the back the usb c has computer symbol next to it.
I already have the apple usb c to 3.5 jack for plugging it to headphones the Arturia interface has headphone socket to monitor.
The Arturia mini fuse 4, while compatible with Mac, does not appear to be compatible with iPad and iPadOS. The manufacturer's specifications state:
