Why don’t the stickers on my iPhone turn off, even though I disable them in the settings — they still appear in the emoji section?

Once created, I believe a sticker will remain in your emoji library. But you can delete them if you want. See how here --> Send stickers in Messages on iPhone - Apple Support
I don’t want any stikers, so I try to disable it in settings but it doesn’t work and it stays in emoji anyway.
Read the information in the link that lobsterghost1 provided. It tells you how to delete something.

Then you must have missed some step, because it works just fine on my iPhone. I just removed a bunch of stickers and they are gone.
