Is MacBook Not able to Copy and Paste Multiple items STILL?

  • I use a Windows Desktop computer at work and it has a Clipboard feature that allows you to copy Multiple things, and it even allows you to scroll through the Pasted items and choose between them.

  • When I bought the MacBook it didn't even cross my mind it wouldn't have this feature or something remotely similar, because I use it for just about everything at work and consider it to be a basic necessity.

  • I actually assumed the MacBook would have something even better (such as more space to save more copied items).

  • Really hope the MacBook does have this feature, but I haven't figured it out yet. OR will have it on the next Update 🙏

  • I'm not willing to pay to download something similar, but I would be open (not thrilled though) to download something ONLY if FREE and is the same as the example below or is VERY similar.

Windows Clipboard Example:

  • Copy 1-24 items (24 items if they don't exceed 4MB) *including photos/images*

  • Click the [Windows]+[V] buttons to show the Clipboard

  • Scroll through the Pasted items in the Clipboard and choose between them, you can also delete them individually or clear all.

On the Mac you can select multiple items and then:

• press Command-C (⌘C) to copy them all to the clipboard.

• In Finder, select Edit menu > Show Clipboard to view the items that have been copied to the clipboard.

You cannot pick and choose clipboard items to manipulate.

• Select a destination folder or document then press Command-V (⌘V) to paste all the items from the clipboard.

CMD+Shift+V

FWIW and slightly OT while testing these keyboard combinations I stumbled on Shift-Option which yields Paste/Duplicate "Exactly" which I had not noticed before:

"Duplicate Exactly and Paste Item Exactly preserves the original's basic ownership information (user and group). This isn't usually possible, and require administrative permissions to perform. It's an easy way to make temporary backups with correct original permissions before replacing system files."
