MBP 15" 2008: start in target disc mode does not work

Hello everybody,

I tried to migrate to an older MBP 15" 2008 using Firewire 400 and did not manage to start the MBP in target disc mode.

No matter how long I will keep the T-key pressed when booting thr MBP, it will not start start in in target disc mode, but boot normally.

I succeeded migrating via the network, but it still bothers me not being able to boot in target disc mode

Any idea?
