shortcut doesn't always work when asking to run it

I set up a shortcut that I trigger in the middle of the night by holding down my home button on my iPhone SE second generation. I say hey Siri, record my dream. I have this shortcut set up to start a voice memo. Sometimes this works, and other times my phone thinks for a moment, then says "sorry, something went wrong. Please try again". This happens probably half the time and seemingly happens the first time but then not the second time. Is this some sort of a wait issue?
