Why is my MacBook (M3) Not Charging?

I've been having issues with my MacBook not charging when I leave it plugged in. For context, I've never had this issue before and use it primarily for university. Before summer break started, my laptop would be unplugged during the day and get plugged in at night, but now it's basically plugged in at all times. When I use my laptop, it gives me the option to charge to full and it works perfectly fine when I select this option. My laptop is also fully up to date.

That is due to the macOS Optimized Charging feature. macOS tries to learn your behavior so it can exercise (aka drain) the battery from time to time to help maintain the battery's health. Unfortunately if you need to suddenly pick up & go and want it to be at 100% each time, then you either need to pay closer attention to the charge level, or turn off Optimized Charging. If you end up keeping the laptop plugged in 24/7, then you will need to remember to run the laptop on battery once in a while to exercise the battery (once a week is a good option).
