My phone keeps toggling between silent and ringer mode on its own even though ringer button is untouched. This used to happen in IOS Versions before 18 and then started occuring after IOS Version 18.3.
As a result, i am not notified with any of the notifications including calls and is very problematic.I assume this is a bug issue for it cannot get automatically resolved in few versions of IOS.

I've never seen that as a software issue, I've only seen it as a hardware issue. Sometimes it is caused by a phone case interfering with the operation of the switch. I would suggest having the device examined by Apple to see if there is an issue with the switch. Here is how to get in touch with Apple Support.
