How to choose attachment size for .png files in default Mail app on iPad Pro?

I create images on my iPad for use at work. I save the images as .pngs so I can preserve the transparency of the background among other reasons. My problem is:

When I send a .png file through an email on my iphone, I am presented with options of what size I want the file attachment to be but when I send the very same attachment using the default mail app on my iPad Pro the option to choose what size to send the attachment as is not presented to me and the mail app automatically reduces the size of the file. The result is the file received is too small to be useful because when the image is manually resized it becomes pixelated and fuzzy.

How can I get the mail app on my iPad to behave the same way it does on my iphone and present me with choices on what size to send the file attachment?

Solved!

I have solved my own issue and will post the solution here for future users.

The behavior of the mail app on iPad is obviously different than the iphone, they are different devices so achieving the same results requires different steps.

To have the option of of choosing the file size on the iPad…

Add your attachment and then touch and hold the image size:

Then you are presented with image size options as shown.

I sincerely hope my frustration with this issue and subsequent solution helps someone else in the future.
