New Apple Pencil (USB C) not giving any pressure.

Bought this for my partner today alongside a 2025 iPad Air M3 11” and procreate as they kept stealing my set up. Not getting any pressure on the pencil for associated brushes. Have tried resetting, hard resetting, new tip and refreshing the pencils connection to the iPad all to no avail. We’ve also tested this pencil on my iPad Pro and are having the same issue (my 2nd gen pencil is still working perfectly).

At a loss at what to do at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As mentioned by Tesserax, of the available models of Apple Pencil, the USB-C Pencil does not feature pressure sensitivity.

Your iPad Air M3 only supports the Apple Pencil Pro (with pressure sensitivity) or the low(er) cost USB-C Pencil (without pressure sensitivity):

If you are referring to the Apple Pencil's Pressure Sensitivity, the USB-C model does not support this feature.

Hi!

The Squeeze feature is only available on the Apple Pencil Pro. Apple Pencil USB-C is not compatible with that feature. See if you can return it :)
