Determining Certificate Trust Settings

The last time I posted about this BOTH my posts got pulled without a given answer. Since 18.5 has gone live, can anyone else PLEASE verify that these Store and Asset versions are unilaterally the same with other users?! (iPhone 15 user)

Trust Store Version: 20250 31200

Trust Asset Version: 1006

iPhone 15, iOS 18

I’d suggest learning about your own particular security and threats and risks, and addressing your security requirements and processes from there. This would be a more systematic approach across all of your activities, particularly given security is a continuum, and one where increased security can routinely detract from usability and usefulness.

The threat you’re concerned with here is exceedingly unlikely, and the folks with the resources and funding to be involved with this or similar compromises don’t need to alter this given better attack alternatives available, and given an actual trust store exploit of the sort you are concerned about here simply won’t need to alter the displayed version.

Thank you very much for a prompt reply. I’m hyper-vigilant about innocuous things thanks to my ex-wife and other mentally unwell human beings disrespecting my data and privacy. Even snooping through crash logs has made it abundantly clear that without advanced software to check these logs, my anxiety about previous skullduggery is going to remain high. 😞
