Mac Pro m4 "Required files rendering” Message After Simple Edits in Premiere Pro with Proxy Files
Hi everyone, I need some help from the experts here! I shot my videos using the Osmo Pocket 3 in HEVC format, 1920x1080 resolution at 29.97fps. Since the original files were quite large, I decided to transcode them using Adobe Media Encoder to H.264 with “Match Source – High Bitrate” settings to create proxy files.
After that, I created a sequence in Premiere Pro using the encoded files. My editing was fairly simple — I sped up the clips to 150%, made some cuts, and removed unnecessary parts.
However, after each cut or speed change, I keep getting the “Render Required files” message and have to wait around 10 seconds every time I play the timeline. This keeps interrupting the editing flow, and it feels unnecessary given the lightweight edits. Why does this keep happening, even though I’m using proxies and doing relatively simple edits? Is there a better workflow I should follow to avoid constant rendering? Thanks in advance!
