Which adapters do I need for USB-A devices on the new iMac M4?

I plan to replace my 2017 iMac with a new M4 iMac. The new computer comes with four Thunderbolt ports. I need to connect two devices that use USB-A. Will the Apple $19 USB-C to USB-A adapter work properly to connect those devices to the new iMac's Thunderbolt ports? Also, any suggestions for mounting SD cards? Thanks.

Yes.

Any SD card reader should work, either directly if it's usb-c or via that same adapter if its USB-A

There's also the option of a dock, with more ports and built in SD card reader.
