How to resolve delayed email delivery from Yahoo after latest iOS update?

latest iOS update, phone to apple

help for an hour, yahoo help for 20 mins, deleted email app reinstalled. Mail is not being delivered from yahoo into my mail app. Takes days to download. All settings in mail app correct. Anyone here any ideas, apple help palming us off to Yahoo, yahoo doing the same. Need phone to work for work.
