Urgent: I Received a Fake Product from Apple.com USA (with Proof)

Dear Apple Support,

I purchased a pair of AirPods from Apple’s official U.S. website (Apple.com) on May 10, 2022. Recently, the charging case stopped working, and I took it to the Apple Store in Germany. To my shock, they issued me a written statement saying the product is fake.

I am attaching:

  • A copy of my official Apple receipt
  • The written document from Apple Germany stating the product is counterfeit
  • Photos of the AirPods and serial number

I would like an immediate investigation into this matter. I bought directly from Apple.com and expect a genuine product.

Please escalate this issue to the appropriate department.

Sorry, but you won't get the type of help you're looking for on a user-to-user forum. We have no knowledge of the transaction and cannot get it.


It's also a good thing you didn't post any of the 'attached' proof as that would be open to anyone to see on a public forum.


What it sounds like to me is someone switched out the genuine product with a fake during transit. This isn't all that uncommon.


You'll need to contact Apple support.
