Why are apps disappearing and reinstalling on my Apple Watch Series 10?

I have a Series 10 and past when I have turned it on this morning my messages app, and a couple of others disappeared, before it looks like its re-installing the app.

This happened a couple of weeks ago, and didn't happen again until this today.

When the messages app has re-installed all my text messages are all gone, it's like it has reset itself.

I am on the latest version, but was happening on the previous version as well. Anyone else had this issue with apps disappearing and then re-installing on their watch?

I have attached some pictures of my watch face with the apps missing after turning the watch on and then appearing about 5-10 minutes later, but with messages missing.

Hard reset did not work. I have unpaid and then set up as new which has then brought back all my old messages so assuming that it is working.

Seems to be the fix that was required to weed out whatever software bug there was, but will monitor and see if it happens again.

Did you try to reinstall the complications on your watch face or create a new watch face?

Also try to force restart by pressing and holding the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.

If this does not work, unpairing the watch and setting it up as a new device would be the next step to rule out a software issue.

The apps disappear from the Grid view as well as in the watch app on my phone, it's like they have not been installed at all, so nothing to remove and don't see an option to re-install, and then they just appear.

When I turn the watch on, it's like the apps are loading in before being "Installed" so not too sure what a hard reset would achieve but I will give it a go.

It's a tough one to test as this has only happened one other time before a couple of weeks ago.

If happens again then I will try unpair and set up as new device.
