An EID is specifically associated with an eSIM. The iPhone 7 does NOT have an eSIM, therefore it does not have an EID.

You can not add an eSIM to a device that did not come with one from the factory.

And eSIM is part of the circuitry of the phone. a permanent part of the logic board.

A regular SIM is a physical card that can be inserted or removed.

You need to get a physical SIM from your carrier. If they are insisting on issuing an eSIM, that would indicate that they will not support the phone you have and you will need a new one.

The iPhone was discontinued 5 1/2 years ago.

Is EID the same as the SIM number?

No, the EID is not the same as the SIM number. The SIM number typically refers to the ICCID of a traditional SIM card, while the EID is associated with eSIM technology.

An ICCID (Integrated Circuit Card Identification) number is a unique 19 to 20-digit number that identifies a SIM card. It's like a serial number for your SIM, crucial for network registration and authentication. The ICCID contains information about the SIM card's origin, issuing carrier, and other details.

I repeat ! I didn’t get an official response on the EID question that is not the same as SIM or EMEID .

For e-sim both emeid and EID are needed to program online with a new carrier and I do not intend to call my carrier for this topic ( also the EID has 33 characters or digits as identity )

So as shown on screenshots the numbers were not shown for security purposes but we do see MEID only thing is ot does not have 32 digit characters and it would not be accepted

Weather it is iPhone 6 or 7 or 8 I do not understand the relevance on why the ESIM could not be implimated yet to be seen as I am new at this ESIM trial
