How can I find the passwords for apps using Face ID to log in?

How do you find the passwords for apps using Face ID passcode to log in? The underlying passwords for those apps are not saved in keychain password app. I’ve tried talking to 2 levels of Apple support and no one has been able to answer this. Prior to the update to iOS 18 the passwords could be found. Now they’re hidden somewhere and those apps don’t even show up when you try to find them in passwords. Thanks for any ideas or suggestions.

The short answer is: You don't.

That information is normally encrypted and stored within the app data pool for the specific app.

If you've forgotten the password for an app and the app does not store that data in the keychain/passwords app, you will have to follow the app developer's process to reset the password.
