How to fix Epson scanner not working after macOS Sequoia 15.5 update?

since updating my Mac to Sequoia 15.5 my epson scanner has suddenly stopped responding. The printer part works fine but the scanner doesn't connect anymore. i've re installed the printer, ensured all the drivers etc are up to date. the Wifi is connected to the the printer but scanner 2 just won't work. I can go through a long winded way and use the capture photo but its a pain. anyone know what to do?? this is the message that comes up when i try to use the scanner. By the way im not very tech savvy so plain english for replies would be appreciated.

solution: Settings / Privacy & Security / Local network / >>>> allow Epson Scan 2 to access the local network.

Have you tried the Image Capture applet in >>

Finder >> Go >> Utilities >> Image Capture ?

I am using an old Epson ET 2750 which is AirPrint capable

All Printing and Scanning is done wirelessly and without any Epson Drivers

Worst case scenario may need you to get the ICA file for your specific Epson Printer / Scanner from Epson

Be sure to use macOS 15 Sequoia to get the latest offers from Epson

Should this not work as expected

Sorry but it is up to Epson to update their software so it works on the Intended version of macOS it is used on

In this case Sequoia 15.5 released 12 May 2025

Hum

If the builtin Image Capture works ?

Seems a bit radical to spend extra Euros

Depending on if the Epson is available locally ( EU ) move quickly

With the recent developments, there could be a 50% Tariff added to the costs for a new one

Thanks, As I said I can use the Image capture but the scanner 2 has stopped working. I have an Epson XP 352. I would like to get the scanner two working again as Its easier to use.
